I was sitting in a meeting with a group of executives when my muted phone lit up with silenced calls, text messages, and notifications from social media. I knew something was up but couldn’t stop the meeting to see what the issue might be.
And then a friend texted me the words, “Jacksonville mandates face masks.”
Somehow I knew this would be the last straw. It might seem silly but it has become an underlying freedom issue to those who I met and rallied with during the height of the tea party movement. The brewing of new tea party-like patriots had been simmering as everyone tried to be good citizens and social distance, wash their hands, and lose their jobs to this pandemic — and some would say “plandemic.”
People are weary. Weary from the attacks on their President since day one. Weary from accusations that turned out to be manufactured lies and a strategic plan to take down our President. Weary from sham impeachment trials. Weary from negative Nellie who runs every mainstream media outlet. Weary from Republicans who never rally together or fight like the Democrats always do. Weary from big tech who has turned a once fun place to gather with friends to a place of dark political nooses taking down our conservative voices. Weary from watching the worst of society pulling down monuments to those who made a difference in America’s healing. Weary from courts who we thought would stand with our God-given rights and instead vote death on the most innocent among us. And last – the weariness of this COVID scam has has been filled with “experts” telling us one thing and then completely changing their minds and saying the opposite. Weary from people who just want us to “wear the damn mask” or “stop being selfish” as we try to understand the wishy washy medical advice that changes daily. Weary from a Mayor who doesn’t have the courage to tell us our monuments are coming down or stand in front of us and declare “masks are mandated.”
I could go on and on but as I write this list — I am more weary than ever regurgitating the facts.
And what shall we do? Those who reached out to me have their plans. Some are in the process of suing their government. Others want to rally their grievances. Marching is on the table too.
And I think to myself, “What difference will it make?” We tried all that during those tea party days where men and women sacrificed their time, finances, careers, and livelihood to bring awareness to corruption in our government.
And it’s still corrupt.
While I want to join my fellow tea party members and march, sue and write letters — I am weary of those plans.
Instead, it is time – way past time – for all of us to admit nothing – absolutely nothing – will change the direction of this country until we all fall on our knees and hand off this crumbling beloved America to our Father God in heaven. We are spent but He is not. He never grows weary and has waited patiently for us to get to the bottom of ourselves and look to Him for help.
To my beloved friends and followers, the Bible states, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Keep doing good and being good. God sees you and loves the prayers of His people. He will fix this mess. He just needs us to partner with Him in prayer and believe in His plan.
I am not ashamed to say, “The only way to fix America, is to put God in America again.” That is where I will focus my attention and fight on her behalf. It’s the place of more power and strength than screaming our voices against the closed ears of our government servants.
