This column was inspired by an article I read from the Chicago Tribune. The headline reads: “Chicago closes 4 more restaurants and bars for Covid-19 guideline violations.” This type of nonsense is happening all across the nation. Has anyone stopped to think, why restaurants may violate Covid-19 regulations? Or does anyone even care?

I am a retired firefighter and a chef. I have worked in many kitchens and did a lot of catering since 1997. I don’t own my own restaurant and dare not to open one with the regulation Nazi’s on your back. I’ve seen and know what it takes to operate a full service restaurant. In case you don’t know, a restaurants main “bread and butter” are from patrons dining in. Of course, if you’re a fast food establishment, you can survive the ordinance madness, because 75-85 percent of their business relies on drive-thru. Therefore, going to a 100 percent drive-thru service is as simple as putting a sign on the door.

Again, for a full service restaurant to stay afloat, Humpty Dumpty has to sit on a wall and the cow has to jump over the moon, this sounds ridiculous, but this is the enormous effort it takes to survive in a shutdown economy because of the virus. 

We’ve seen a vast majority of restaurants take a nosedive during this economic shutdown. Any businesses hanging on are hanging on because of President Trump’s relief funds to help hurting businesses. Unfortunately, large chains, colleges, mega churches and large businesses applied for a loan meant for small businesses. That left a lot less money – if any – for small businesses the funds were meant for.

What do we want these business owners to do? They are hanging on for dear life, they need just a little bit of empathy from local government. They employ fellow citizens and they have their own bills to pay and families to feed. These regulations are pushed by democratic local government to do their dirty deeds which is to keep the economy locked down.

And let us not forget to mention the latest from the CDC: There was an astonishing decrease in Covid-19 deaths from recent CDC report update. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL. Here is an actual quote from the USA Today column, about the recent CDC report, “This week the CDC quietly updated the Covid numbers to admit that only 6% of the 153,504 deaths recorded actually died from Covid, that’s 9,210 deaths. The other 94% had other serious illnesses and the overwhelming majority were of very advanced age.”

To add insult to injury, and talking about pouring salt in the wounds of law abiding hard working citizen — There are more and more democratic governors and mayors such as Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago allowing BLM/Antifa thugs to destroy their cities, while businesses are closing their doors permanently.

Let’s take a blue city like Chicago for example. This city is riddled with crime and violence on a daily basis, and has increased significantly during the shutdown because of protests turned into riots. But their top priority is on shutting down restaurants. In Chicago alone, the weekend of August 28 – 30 there were 54 shootings and 10 people were killed. But Mayor Lightfoot is more concerned about social distancing, wearing masks and the amount of people that are in a restaurant! This type of thinking from the democrats is inconceivable. Shouldn’t we be focusing on the violent criminals, instead antagonizing hard working Americans? There is only one clear answer, the democratic party’s lack of action indicates no concern for their citizens they took an oath to protect and serve. The criminals have been allowed to run amok for months and never condemned. This chaos and mayhem is applauded, condoned and celebrated from fake news as mostly peaceful, as one mayor would put it “it’s a summer of love.”

All the while, we see reporters standing in front of groups looting, assaulting, destroying property, burning down buildings and provoking the cops. These war-torn cities like Chicago are ruled by BLM/Antifa thugs. There is no social distancing and they only wear a mask to hide their identity, and nothing is said while they are wreaking havoc on their cities. The disdain and hate for Trump is so massive, they would rather see their cities burn to the ground. This type of gross injustice and negligence of the Constitution is exactly why President Trump was voted into office.

The democrats want to try and steal the election by voting by mail and no voter ID, because that is the only possible chance to get sleepy Joe in office. Here are the facts, “If you can riot, you can go vote.”

I’m fighting with our President on behalf of the true Americans, because if we sit back, do nothing and say nothing, the America as we know it will be gone forever. We have to wake up from the lies delivered to us from the mainstream media and come together as Americans. Go in person and vote on November 3 for President Donald J Trump, so we can give him another four years to finish draining the swamp. He must continue to work for us, the American people. Contrary to popular belief, he is the only person standing in the way of a corrupt government, a political cesspool and the final nail in America’s coffin.
