DeSantis does not fear leftist labels

Declaring an organization that claims to be for “Muslim civil rights” a “terrorist organization” was a bold move by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

It brought a lawsuit threat, of course, and also of course condemnation by the Far Left.

But the Council on American-Islamic Relations is suspect.

What it does is always put a favorable spin on attacks against Western civilization, or the nation of Israel.

DeSantis issued an executive order direction Florida agencies to take measures to prevent unlawful activities by CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, including denying privileges or resources to anyone who provides material support.

He ordered the Domestic Security Oversight Council to conduct a comprehensive review of existing policies and authorities and submit recommendations for any additional action to help in “addressing threats” from the organizations.

CAIR claims it only wants to provide an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public and to challenge harmful stereotypes.

But there is nothing “islamophobic” about suspecting militant Muslims when militant Muslims fly jets into skyscrapers and kill thousands of Americans, and others dance in the streets in celebration.

The mere fact CAIR advocates “justice for the Palestinian people” is enough to make them suspect. The Palestinian cause is the biggest hoax in history.

Many believe, with good reason, that militant Muslims have been trying for 1,400 years to conquer and subjugate Western civilization but having failed now seek to do it by deceit and infiltration.

Events in Europe, from rampant crime to demands for a separate legal system, support that suspicion.

Bills like the “Designate CAIR as a Terrorist Organization Act” have been introduced in Congress, citing CAIR’s alleged ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism-financing case in U.S. history.

Government exhibits showed CAIR’s founders attended a 1993 Philadelphia meeting of Hamas supporters discussing strategies to advance Islamist goals in the U.S. while concealing affiliations.

The FBI suspended formal contacts with CAIR in 2008, citing evidence of a relationship with Hamas.

The governor of Texas has issued a similar order to the one by DeSantis.

CAIR calls all of those facts “political.”

Leftists point out that the federal government has not declared CAIR to be a terrorist organization, and CAIR never has been convicted of a crime. They also repeatedly emphasize that it is a “non-profit organization” – which means nothing.

DeSantis again is at the forefront in protecting Florida residents.
