Eye appreciates Sheriff Waters for his gut-wrenching press conference and outrage about the murders of innocent children last week in Jacksonville.

His unwavering commitment to speaking the truth and highlighting the distressing reality of these senseless acts of violence is both commendable and necessary.

As he rightly stated, one murder is one murder too many, and when the lives of innocent children are taken as collateral damage, it becomes an unbearable tragedy that demands our collective attention. His courage in addressing the recent incidents, even when it seems that public outrage is selective, sends a powerful message about the urgency of the issue.

He is dedicated to seeking justice for the victims and holding those responsible for these heinous crimes accountable.

He didn’t hold back his outrage and that is a good thing. The fact that people who were outraged just last month are not expressing the same level of outrage now is disheartening. It isn’t fair to the little children who innocently lost their lives because of violent and angry adults.

Sheriff Waters has his work cut out for him. Crime is rising and those who want to use victims of crime for their own selfish ambitions are in the way of him getting this issue under control.

Thank you Sheriff Waters for speaking truth into such a hard-hearted matter.

May those sweet little babies enjoy their heavenly home. Hopefully they will ask Jesus to intervene on behalf of those of us left behind.
