Memorial Day

Memorial Day is not simply a holiday; it is a day to show deep respect and gratitude for the courageous individuals who answered the call of duty and made the ultimate sacrifice. These heroes, from every branch of the military, exemplify the true meaning of service and devotion to our nation.

In the words of President Trump, “It is our responsibility to preserve the freedoms they fought for and to protect the values they held dear.” On this Memorial Day, we remember the extraordinary men and women who have laid down their lives in defense of our liberty. We recall their bravery, their commitment to duty, and their love for our great country.

As we pay tribute to our fallen heroes, let us also recognize the families they left behind. They, too, have made sacrifices and endured the pain of losing their loved ones. It is our duty to support and honor them, ensuring they know that their loved ones’ sacrifice will never be forgotten.

If you want to participate in the local Memorial Day Ceremony, you can do so on Monday, May 29th at 8:00-10:00 a.m. – 1145 East Adams Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.

The Veterans Memorial Wall is located between TIAA Bank Field and the baseball grounds.

During this ceremony, each of the military branches will be represented by a wreath as will the fallen service members whose names are being added to the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall this year. Parking is free.
