Mayor Deegan’s hatred for Trump showed up big this week

Mayor Deegan made it quiet clear to me a few years ago that she could not stand President Trump and he made her stomach turn.  We agreed to disagree on that point and she knows I am a supporter of his policies.

But this morning I can not agree to disagree. Mayor Deegan’s outrageous comments and blatant misrepresentation of Trump’s plan to deport criminals who have entered through our open borders—under the Biden-Harris administration, her party’s leadership—are deeply misleading.

As the Mayor of Jacksonville, she should understand how important her words are and they should be carefully spoken because she represents ALL the people in Duval County.

In a bizarre and inflammatory comment, she compared Trump’s proposed deportation plan to “concentration camps.” That statement falls far from truth of what Trump is proposing.  She is letting Kamala channel her!

Let’s be clear—this rhetoric is designed to provoke outrage, to distract from the very real problem of mass illegal immigration, and to smear anyone who dares to suggest we enforce our laws. Deegan’s irresponsible statement is part of a broader left-wing strategy to demonize border security and undermine any effort to bring order to this country’s immigration system. Rather than acknowledge the security concerns that millions of Americans share, Deegan chose to draw a false parallel to one of history’s darkest atrocities, which trivializes the horrors of the Holocaust.

Let’s remind her of crime stats just released by the FBI who quietly revised its 2022 crime report, showing an alarming uptick in violent crime. But don’t hold your breath waiting for the Biden administration to admit that this is tied to their open-border policies. Millions of undocumented immigrants have poured into the country, and as we struggle to vet them properly, Americans are paying the price with skyrocketing crime. Criminal elements mixed within this influx have wreaked havoc on cities nationwide, and yet, we continue to pretend that there isn’t a connection between lax immigration enforcement and public safety.  We can’t let this go on and something has to be done.

Here’s the deal, Donna — When you pull it all together, the common thread is this: your party’s open-border policies, dangerous rhetoric, and refusal to confront rising crime are endangering American lives. Countries like the Dominican Republic are showing us what real immigration enforcement looks like, but here at home, we’re stuck with so called “leaders” who care more about virtue signaling than keeping our citizens safe.

Mayor Deegan – stop playing into the hands of your party boss because until you and the Dems start treating immigration as the national and local security issue it is, you can expect more crime here in Jacksonville, more division, and more chaos.

Is that what you want?  I think not and I hope you will understand that your words “turned my stomach” when I read them.   I do believe an apology is in order.
