We noticed a statement from the City of Jacksonville noting that Mayor Curry had been selected by the Aspen Institute to participate in the class of 2020 Rodel Fellows in Public Leadership program. The press release from the Aspen Institute stated, “The 24 “rising stars” from both political parties were selected from hundreds of nominees based on their reputations for intellect, commitment to civility, and potential for significant future impact on American public life.”

Eye was shocked to see this selection due to Mayor Curry’s fall from glory in the city he leads. His administration has been filled with scandals such as the JEA debacle and the Lot J mess. Many in Jacksonville feel Mayor Curry is not a rising star and in fact his star is falling rapidly — so we dug deep into the Aspen Institute to learn more about this entity.

The Press Release proudly proclaimed Kamala Harris and Joe Biden had attended this program so that was one heads up that this bi-partisan institute wasn’t all that bi-partisan. We scoured their website and it sounded good and that is where digging deep comes into play as journalists.

We dug and found this article from 2006 and discovered George Soros has his hand in this institute. This article also noted a love for China by John McCain. Soros, China, McCain and the Aspen Institute. Very interesting!

Here’s the article: Something You Won’t See on CNN

We are unsure who nominated the Mayor for this position but we could all certainly guess who that might be. Maybe some of those around him who pretend to be conservatives but can easily change their stripes for a little green in their hands.

What a world we live in. Fake news is real and fake bi-partisan organizations are too. And most especially are fake people who say one thing and do the other.

Mayor Curry ran as a conservative but you could never tell it by his behaviors. I guess this is the last Ah Ha moment for the citizens of Duval County who voted for him based on his conservative campaigning.

It’s time to dig deep in all dealings with candidates, political operatives and our governmental leaders. It certainly isn’t a “what you see is what you get” world anymore. Wolves in sheep’s clothing are abundant in our society and you need to be aware of them.
