Encourage your children to participate in “Bring your Bible to School Day” this Thursday, October 5th

“Bring Your Bible to School” day, initiated by Focus on the Family, encourages students to bring their Bibles to school on the first Thursday in October. This event not only fosters an atmosphere of religious freedom but also serves as a platform for students to share their faith and the Gospel with their peers.

This year will mark nearly a decade of its existence. What began with 8,000 students participating has grown with almost 800,000 students taking part last year. The organizers are hopeful to see over a million students join the event this year, emphasizing its significance in today’s world.

Emerson Collins, program manager for Bring Your Bible to School Day, believes in the transformative power of this event. He asserts that our culture is in search of truth and healing, and the unchanging truth of Scripture and the healing power of the Gospel can provide just that. By allowing students to take the lead in sharing their faith, Focus on the Family aims to empower young minds and hearts.

Recently we have seen college campuses holding Christian prayer services and baptisms. Watching college students stand for their faith is encouraging and will hopefully boost the courage of high schoolers, middle schoolers and elementary aged children to do the same.

“Bring Your Bible to School” day has garnered support from various Christian celebrities, including Skillet frontman John Cooper, Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson Huff, singer Tauren Wells, and the rock band Newsboys. Their involvement highlights the significance of this event in the Christian community.

Will Witt, a conservative media personality, encourages young students to see this day as a catalyst for evangelism and a stand for religious freedom. He reminds them that the Bible represents the ultimate truth and encourages them to share it with others. Witt also emphasizes the importance of defending religious liberties, which are sometimes threatened in the United States.
