Vicious comments are not civil discourse

The outpouring of hate from the left after the murder of Charlie Kirk is shocking and disturbing.

We know how they hate America, but they never have demonstrated it more convincingly.

And this is after decades of left-wingers proclaiming solemnly that we need “more civil public discourse.”

One particular group of haters should be of great concern to parents: teachers in government schools.

Everyone knows the teacher unions are a financial arm of the Democrat Party. The sentiments in thousands of social media posts reflect their feelings about America.

It has been noted in the national media and in Florida state officials have warned teachers that they will be held accountable.

Two teachers in Northeast Florida have been reported for outlandish and hateful comments. One is in Jacksonville and the warnings from the governor and state education commissioner were issued after an “egregious” post by a Clay County teacher, who was suspended.

Similar outbursts have come from teachers and professors in Texas and other states.

It isn’t only academia. Office Depot fired an employee who refused to print Charlie Kirk posters for a customer, for example.

But far too much comes from people who are supposed to educate, not indoctrinate.

The suspected killer is of college age and much of the hatred is being spewed by college kids – ignorant and uncaring, and often brainwashed by Far Left college professors.

But for adults entrusted in educating our children to celebrate the slaying of a man who encouraged debate, rather than hate, and who had two small children and a loving wife, speaks volumes.

I’ve watched many videos of Kirk debating college students. I’ve never seen one in which he expressed hate. He often thanked the students for debating him and congratulated them for doing so.

The fact that they are brainwashed is evident. Many of them are crushed in debate because they lack facts or logic. They have only “feelings.”

It cannot be coincidence that other videos show students being interviewed on campus who are unable to say what year the War of 1812 occurred, or the product of 3 x 3 x 3, or the number of minutes in a quarter of an hour.

Incredibly, the Democrat media is trying to portray the haters as victims, saying they are being punished for exercising “free speech.”

Why wouldn’t responsible companies fire employees who shame their organization by supporting political violence?

Kirk is the victim. He was murdered for exercising his right to free speech.

The people celebrating his death are being held accountable for violating basic rules of human decency.
