Ms. DeFoor’s corporate career is marked by significant achievements, particularly her tenure at Fidelity National Title Group. As Senior Vice President and National Agency Counsel, she has demonstrated her ability to lead and manage complex operations, overseeing three vital departments—National Agency Support Services, National Account Reconciliation Unit, and National Agency Commercial Services. Her role as General Counsel has exemplified her skill in guiding internal counsel teams while dealing with high-value transactions and mitigating potential risks.
During her role as Vice President and Senior Corporate Counsel at Regency Centers Corporation, Ms. DeFoor was instrumental in establishing the company’s legal department in 1995. Her responsibilities encompassed negotiating and approving operational contracts, managing litigation matters, advising top-level executives on legal issues, and overseeing in-house and outside counsel.
