In what seemed like the longest superintendent search ever… is finally over.

This morning a united school board voted 7-0 to move forward with Christopher Bernier as Duval County Public Schools’ next superintendent.

Out of the finalists, the board all agreed Bernier is the best choice for the leadership position.

I am grateful the board recognized Daniel Smith’s radical left-wing ideological world view is not welcome in Florida. Keep that crap in Loudoun County.

I happily admit I was wrong and apologize to a certain board member for not keeping the faith. You were right.

Today was a good day.
