Call to Action: Southern Poverty Law Center publishes Hate Maps and is teaching Duval students “tolerance”

One of Eye’s followers sent us a copy of a letter from Tia M. Leathers of the Duval County Public Schools. The recipient of the letter was not happy with the essence of Ms. Leathers’ letter and her plans to hold workshops with parents every Wednesday to address “Managing Unconscious Bias.” See the letter here:

Eye contacted Ms. Leathers to ask who would be conducting these workshops. Managing a workshop on a “psychological” issue seemed out of the wheel house of a School Administrator. Ms. Leathers responded, “The district employee facilitating the training has the national certification from the Center of Cultural Intelligence. She will share her background as a part of the first session.  This is the website for the training: https://culturalq.com/products-services/certification/”

Eye then started the pursuit of understanding who would be teaching this psychological issue, what the curriculum would be and more about the organization behind this training. What we discovered was disconcerting and we felt the community needed to be made aware of this information.

Facts of our research:

  1. Notice the “thanks to one of the Parents Who Lead program” in the letter above. Parents Who Lead program is a program of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund. This organization has been involved in the public schools for about 10 years and presently they are supporting the half cent school tax increase and are supporting the renaming of schools. Website for this org: https://www.jaxpef.org/what-we-do
  2. Just a few weeks ago, this same organization announced the funding of a new program in Duval County Schools — “Teaching Tolerance: Duval teachers to make social justice part of instruction”
  3. We dug into the “Teaching Tolerance” program and discovered it is a project of the Southern Poverty Law Center!! Check out the Teaching Tolerance website here and scroll to the bottom to see who sponsors this project. https://www.tolerance.org/

So there you have it. Funding for Duval County school projects are supported by the SPLC. For those of you who don’t know about SPLC, check out their website and be prepared for the intolerance of their mission. One of their projects is to create a “Hate Map” about organizations and people they do not agree with or have different viewpoints than their leadership. Take a look at their Hate Map here: https://www.splcenter.org/hate-map and realize how they have included conservative groups on its list of “hate groups.” Scroll around and read through their website. Do your own research and be informed.

Our thought was: How can an organization posting Hate Maps teach tolerance to our children? Answer: They can’t. It’s impossible for the two ideologies to reside in the same organization.

If this isn’t enough to get your hair to stand on end – read this story of a woman who was almost murdered last year because of the hate SPLC publishes.

If your children attend Duval County Schools, pay attention! They are using bigoted curriculum, psychological hate training, and projection techniques on your precious cargo. It all sounds good and sweet — “teaching tolerance” while the intolerants behind the curtain laugh at us and think we are ignorant to their game.

Our childrens’ minds and souls should never be used for game playing.

Our suggestion is you contact Duval County School Superintendent, Dr. Diana Greene and your school board member. Demand that all Teaching Tolerance materials and anything that has the brand of SPLC on it be removed from the schools. Be positive but firm. Demand that an organization that labels people and groups “hateful” should not be allowed to teach tolerance.

You know what to do and please do it respectfully. If they continue to use these materials, you can then decide your other options. Your children’s education is your responsibility – not theirs. Contact Dr. Greene here: [email protected] and find your School Board Member here: https://dcps.duvalschools.org/Page/9202

Enough is enough.
