Are Congressional Republicans Gaslighting Their Base

“If Nero had had a backup band, the predecessors of folks like Congressman John Rutherford would have been playing in it.”

Residing in Congressman Rutherford’s district, on Friday, October 13, 2023, I received a constituent letter by email. A copy is included at the end of this piece. (Rutherford’s chosen release date may have more-than-a-little significance, as we’ll see at the conclusion of this piece.)

Though few of you reside in his Congressional district, that letter will still be of interest to you. For it likely originated from a template provided to Republican Members of Congress; and even if it is not from a template, it’s messaging parallels what we’re getting from most of them. That is:

The letter discusses Rutherford’s support for an act that (supposedly) directs unused border wall material to be provided to states so that they can erect border walls. This as if the (unelected) Biden-Harris Junta won’t litigate to prevent states from erecting any such thing (see, e.g., Texas and its barriers placed in rivers). Also, weeks before the letter even came out, it was widely reported that the Biden-Harris Junta has been auctioning off the border wall materials, for cents on the dollar.

The letter goes on to commend DHS Secretary Mayorkas for finally stating that construction of the border wall will resume. Regarding this point, Rutherford’s letter is dissembling. Almost immediately Mayorkas started walking-back border wall talk; and as we all know, the Junta will never, ever make any good faith effort to construct a wall that genuinely secures our border.

Congressman Rutherford then goes on to crow about supporting legislation to fund an additional 22,000 Border Patrol agents.

What a crock!

So, Rutherford is actually crowing about his support for hiring 22,000 more concierges, who will then further increase the flow – the INVASION – of millions upon millions of illegals into the heartland of the U.S. This as he’s trying to convince his constituents that he’s working — effectively — to secure our border.

Yet Rutherford and nearly the entire the Republican Party have been absolutely silent about that funding, much less uttering anything about ending it.

Uniform silence on the part of Republicans at the same catastrophic scale as was, and remains, their silence about the stolen election / coup d’etat of 2020, and the continued existence of the election fraud infrastructure (mules and machines).

Silence about that coup d’etat that inserted the unelected Biden-Harris Junta into power; which the Republicans now all pretend was legitimately elected, and question not its agenda to consummate the demise of our Constitutional Republic.

Silence can equal complicity, can it not?

But-for that stolen election / coup d’etat, taxpayer funding of the literal invasion at (what once was) our southern border would never have occurred.

So much for the Department of Homeland Security under the CCP-puppet regime, otherwise known as the “Biden administration.” It would seem that Biden and Mayorkas et als. view their “mission homeland” as being the People’s Republic of China.

Where’s the discussion about that in your letter, Congressman Rutherford???

Tragically, Rutherford is all-too emblematic of Republican officeholders in general.

Some are craven careerists, whose only concern is playing along with the Republican Establishment and keeping their seats, the consequences for our country be damned. (Indeed, some of these may well be the quintessential “useful idiots” who don’t fully comprehend the ramifications of what they are doing.)

Some are compromised by multinational Globalist interests, angling for lucre now, or after they leave office – such as gigs with lobbying firms, multinational financial institutions, defense contractors or media outlets like Fox News.

Demented Biden, like crazy Nero, is proverbially fiddling and delighting as he (and his handlers) continue onward toward achieving the final conflagration of our Republic.

Right now, all of America is (proverbially) smoldering, with open fires, hotspots engulfing our founding principles and key institutions – fires that threaten to fully engulf our nation.

If Nero had had a backup band, the predecessors of folks like Congressman John Rutherford would have been playing in it.

Well, Biden does have a backup band – Rutherford et als. are engaged in business as usual, aiding and abetting the Biden-Harris Junta and its agenda.

Through passivity.

Through willful denial of what they know is true, and willful denial of what is actually happening.

Through aiding and abetting the agenda of the Biden-Harris Junta — first and foremost by pretending that it was legitimately elected, and is legitimately in power.

Finally, a word about the TIMING of the Rutherford letter.

It hit on the day – October 13, 2023 – which anticipated possible HAMAS / jihadi terrorist attacks within the United States. So, it’s fair to surmise that the letter was intended to preemptively disclaim accomplice liability for any terrorist attacks that occurred that day, especially to the degree that they might have been committed by illegals who’d taken advantage of the concierge service.

Tom Wigand is a grateful person. Grateful to have been born in this divinely-inspired United States of America. Grateful to have been born into a military family (a “Navy brat”), and so immersed in that culture in his formative years. And grateful to have been born before the Progressives began changing our culture starting in the 1960’s, and so “seasoned” enough to recognize the “before” and “after” – a child of original “The Andy Griffith Show” and John Wayne movies and such; not the garbage through which more recent generations have been targeted by Progressivism. Trained as a lawyer (he asks your forgiveness), and a political science major in his undergraduate years. Mr. Wigand came to recognize the existential danger that “Cultural Marxism” poses to our great nation. It was that recognition that inspired him to apply his lawyerly analysis (but “plain English” writing) to author “Communiqués From the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.” His personal motto is “Let Thy Will Be Done.” You can subscribe to Mr. Wigand’s writings on Substack under American Discerner by Thomas Wigand.

    • Mr. Straley: Embarrassment, yes. But what are his motivations? IMHO he’s a willing tool of the GOP Establishment, which in turn is aligned (mostly) with Globalist forces and, in many cases, simultaneously compromised by the CCP.

  1. Rutherford is just a snake in the grass moneygrubber. At least although I don’t like the left wing people at least the true believers would have some principled reasons. Rutherford is just out to get money he doesn’t care what or how or anything else he just loves money. He would be a good mid-level kumaskar in the Soviet Union: bribes bribes and more bribes to make the system as corruption and as money-grubbing as possible.
