Nassau schools ordered to release sex-oriented material

Nassau Citizens Defending Freedom has notched a small victory for parental rights over a secret program in the government schools to coach children about sexual issues.

It has been liberal doctrine for several years that parents have no right to know when the government is inducing gender confusion in their children. In any number of cases it has been alleged that the schools are “grooming” children to question and even attempt to change their gender. There also have been hundreds of cases where pornographic material has been provided to young children in schools.

Florida law requires schools to have a mental health curriculum. The Ripple Effects software and Starting Point counseling is used in Nassau to deal with issues such as  behavior, mental health concerns, sexual issues, family issues and even poor grades. Parental consent is required.

But it also delves into gender identity, intercourse, masturbation, homosexuality and condom use.

After CDF got wind of the potential problem in August 2023 it began seeking details from the district under the state;s broad public records law.

CDF said the district dragged its feet, then made false statements about not having some of the material and finally refused to release all the material, claiming it was not public record.

Jack Knocke, head of CDF filed for a writ of mandamus, asking the court to force the district to release the material.

Circuit Judge Marianne Aho ordered Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare and Nassau County School District to provide public access to the Ripple Effects software that Starting Point provides children.

The court found that the material was public record and ordered the school district to allow CDF to view but not copy the copyrighted material. That essentially was the last offer the district made to the plaintiff but it was refused.
