The Marco Rubio We Remember Is Back

Those of us who were part of the Tea Party movement remember Marco Rubio before the Washington establishment got hold of him.

He was one of us—a young, passionate conservative who understood what was happening to America and was willing to speak boldly about it.

When Marco went to Washington, there were times we wondered whether the D.C. machine had gotten hold of him. We did not always agree with his votes, but maturity has taught us that we will never agree 100 percent with anyone who represents us. We must also recognize the difference between leaders who occasionally disappoint us and those on the Left who are actively working to dismantle the values and institutions that made America great.

Today, we in the “Tea” are proud of Marco and what he has accomplished in the Trump administration. He has been unleashed to become the Marco Rubio we remember—and this powerful speech reminds us why we supported him all those years ago.

Marco speaks plainly about the government’s sacred duty to protect its people, the dangerous blind spot that has allowed far-left political violence to be excused or ignored, and the need for nations to work together to dismantle these terrorist networks. Most importantly, he understands that America cannot be restored without first having the courage to recognize, confront and eliminate the evil seeking to destroy it.
