Once again, the local news media had a blackout on news that does not fit the liberal agenda.

According to Facebook users, none of the local newspapers or TV stations provided coverage last weekend of the “Back the Blue” pro-police event in Jacksonville.

This was one of hundreds such events held nationwide.

Those who attended said some 200 people participated here.

Everyone is aware that if someone with the radical, cop-hating Black Lives Matter organization calls a local TV station and says they are holding a protest against law and order, full news crews are guaranteed to be on the scene even if only a half-dozen protest.

But support for the people who protect society apparently is not considered news in Jacksonville.

We don’t monitor the local news but we ran a search on Duck-Duck-Go and found no local coverage, although there was one Facebook report of a 20-second blip on one of the smaller local TV stations.

This is the same media that shunned the Trump Boat Rally a few weeks ago, which saw 1,000 boats fill local waterways in support of the president of the United States. A few mentioned it but downplayed the numbers.

No one expects any of the local media to support the president’s re-election but they should be expected to cover the news, even when it is news they don’t like.
