One month ago today I wrote a Letter to the JEA Board.  We asked that the Board respond to our questions and we asked them to do so within ten days.

We ended that letter with this quote:

“JEA is a unique concept as an Independent Agency.  It’s well run and employs wonderful people from the customer service reps to the highly educated nuclear engineers.  You have been gifted an extraordinary opportunity to serve them well and we wish you much success…

… because your success is the public’s success.

We are hopeful to hear the responses to our questions from you within the next ten days and Eye on Jacksonville will be happy to print your answers and share them with our followers.”

It’s now 30 days later and we have heard nothing.  Nada.  Zilch. Silence.

We are confident the letter was received because we were given an acknowledgment that it was.

It’s a shame that correspondence to the JEA Board is not answered.  It’s professionally disrespectful.  It sends a message that if you question those who serve on the Mayor appointed board, they will ignore you.  Your questions mean nothing to them.  They don’t have to respond to the JEA customers who have legitimate concerns.

All who serve on the board are professionals.  Highly acclaimed professionals.  They should understand professional courtesy and the importance of responding to their customers.

There is no other word for lacking good manners and professional courtesy – it STINKS.
