DogPack App has become extremely popular among dog owners in Jacksonville, with over 7,500 people using it regularly. DogPack was created in order to connect dog owners in their local communities, especially at local dog-friendly parks. The App has a few layers; and is designed to provide a space that all dog owners can enjoy. First, the DogPack App has mapped out every dog-friendly park in the Jacksonville area where dog owners can bring their dogs to let them run off-leash and play. For dog owners that often travel with their dogs, this is a very convenient tool to have in your pocket. For dog owners that typically frequent the same parks, there is an option in the App to ‘check-in’ to the park so that other dog owners in the area know what to expect before they arrive. Some dog owners like it when other dogs are at the park so that their dogs can play, while others prefer quiet. Local dog-friendly businesses can also place themselves on our map to promote themselves to dog owners in their area.  

Aside from dog parks, the DogPack App has created a social platform where individuals make a profile for their dogs and share pictures and videos of their dogs with other app members. Dog owners can also find other dog owners in their area with the App and message them to schedule doggy playdates. The App has become the go-to place for dog owners to interact and is a place for all dog owners to enjoy. DogPack focuses on creating a positive space, and for many is an escape from the negativity that occurs on other social media platforms, and across the internet. People refer to the DogPack App as ‘The Most Wholesome Place on the Internet,’ and rightfully so – what can be better than endless doggy photos and videos? Another fun aspect of the App is that dog owners can win free prizes from the DogPack Shop. Every week DogPack holds giveaways where they give away free dog products such as harnesses, leashes, collars, and toys. 

Since DogPack has been able to bring together local dog communities, they decided to also include a ‘Lost Dogs’ section on the App to try to help recover any missing dogs. If the worst has happened, and a dog goes missing, the dog can be reported on the DogPack App or website. Within 10 minutes of posting, the DogPack team sends out an app alert to all dog owners in the area where the dog went missing with all of the dog’s details and a photo. The service comes at no charge and is simply a way to try and help reunite lost dogs with their owners. The goal is to use the community to make positive changes, and nobody should feel helpless if their dog goes missing.  

DogPack App was created by four brothers who have always been deeply connected with the dog community. One of the brothers had a dog-walking business for many years and found no good way for dog owners in the community to meet and interact with each other. He decided to create DogPack and use the expertise he gained over the years to create the perfect App for dog owners to solve this problem. DogPack has since turned into a family business, and any interaction you have with the staff of DogPack is with the owners. This gives it an authentic feel not seen in many technology companies.
