Jacksonville: Florida’s abortion destination

The “Bold New City of the South” is now the Bold New City of Abortion.

Thousands of people are traveling to Jacksonville, and they are not coming here for a beach vacation or to feed giraffes at the zoo. They are coming here to murder their unborn children.

According to the Agency for Health Care Administration, in 2022 doctors in Duval County terminated 7,986 babies. That number contributes to the stunning 48% hike in baby murder since 2017 in Jacksonville.

Duval County accounts for 10 percent of all abortions performed across the state.

The numbers are heartbreaking, but there is some good news to share.

Abortion became a national talking point for months last summer. June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned the 1973 Roe V. Wade decision, leaving the abortion issue to the states where it belongs. Naturally, the left went bat-crap crazy. For weeks we watched the media and politicians lose their minds over the thought of cutting down on baby murder. I will never forget watching Stacy Abrams on MSNBC proudly state we need more abortions because baby murder helps lower inflation. A single, childless, attention-seeking politician, bloviating on national television that babies cost money, so it is better for you to kill them when money is tight.

That’s right America. Just let woman murder their unborn children at will, and you can afford $7 gallon of milk and $20 eggs. Baal is proud.

Before the Supreme Court decision, several states started writing their own abortion legislation leading up to the potential overturn. Shortly after the court decision, states in the South announced legislation banning the procedure.

Florida is now surrounded by abortion bans and oceans. Alabama made abortion completely illegal in the state. The only exception is to save the life of the mother. Mississippi’s total ban exceptions are to save the life of the mother, rape and incest. Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee have total bans. Georgia, South Carolina and Texas have a six-week ban.

Last year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy in Florida and this week the Florida Senate passed a bill banning most abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. House Republicans are expected to pass their own version, as well.

As expected, the death cult was out in force this week in Tallahassee, protesting the legislation. Monday night, Florida’s Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried and Democrat state Sen. Lauren Book were arrested in an obvious political stunt at a park in front of Tallahassee’s city hall. A group of protesters were warned they would not be allowed to stay in the park after sundown, because the city could not accommodate them. Most of the group left, but 11 stayed. Fried, wearing a black t-shirt with the words “JUST F**K!ING VOTE,” and Book were booked and charged with misdemeanor trespassing. The stunt seemed to pay off. Fried and Book are headline news across the state, including that sad excuse for a newspaper, the Florida Times-Union.

One of the most horrifying statements made during the debates on the potential six-week abortion ban was uttered by Book. The legislature wanted to change the name of SB 300, to the “Heartbeat Protection Act.” Book said the words, “This is a ban on abortion, it has nothing to do with heartbeats.”

Can you imagine? A college-educated woman serving as a state senator believes abortion has nothing to do with a heartbeat. It has everything to do with a heartbeat. If we allow them to take away the very essence of humanity… something as innocent and precious as a heartbeat, then life doesn’t matter. If we allow our representatives to make outrageous statements claiming baby murder has nothing to do with a human heartbeat, then where are we, as a society?

Florida is the only state in the South where abortion on demand is still business as usual. In a Red state with a conservative governor, why? Why isn’t the governor going after abortion factories like his administration is going after Reedy Creek? Why is the ability to basically hire a hit man to kill your child at will, swept under the rug?

According to the Florida Dept. of Health, 87,585 Florida residents died from COVID since March 1, 2020, and 1,483 people in Duval County have died from the disease.

Since January 2020 more than 236,999 babies have been aborted in the state; 21,064 of those abortions occurred in Duval County. I would have to argue, abortion is far more deadly than COVID.

Maybe Mayor Lenny Curry should have ordered a condom mandate instead of a mask mandate in Jacksonville.

With those numbers, one would have to wonder why Curry would allow abortion clinics and liquor stores to stay open during the shelter at home orders, but not allow people to have medical care unless it was lifesaving.

We were only allowed to go to the doctor if it was to save our life, but women could go kill their baby anytime, because baby murder is far more important than cancer screenings, mammograms and colonoscopies, it seems.

When I started looking at the numbers, I honestly thought college towns would have the highest rates of abortion across the state. Turns out, I was wrong.

According to AHCA, the abortion numbers from January 2022 to date by county are:

Dade: 16,700

Broward: 10,627

Hillsborough: 10,598

Duval: 7,986

Orange: 6,981

Palm Beach: 6,659

Leon: 4,573

In these seven counties, more than 64,000 babies have been killed this past year–64,000 people who were never allowed to reach their potential. People who were not given the right to life the constitution protects.

The Times-Union posted an article from the Tallahassee Democrat, where the writer admits Florida is now a “haven,” for women seeking abortion in the South. Out of Florida’s 67 counties, only 17 counties have abortion clinics.

In North Florida, we have nine abortion clinics among three cities. There are three in Tallahassee, three in Gainesville and three in Jacksonville. Our clinics have higher numbers because clinics in Jax are open six days a week.

Don’t worry, Jacksonville’s abortionists are not complete monsters. They pause on-demand baby murder on Sunday. Sunday in the South is for the Lord, even when it comes to slaughtering his innocent creations.

There are also non-profits in the state working to provide free abortions. Abortion is expensive. The abortion pill starts at $550 and surgical abortions can range from $600 up to $4,000. Those groups pay for the procedure and provide transportation and hotels for out-of-towners. One website even brags about spending $150,000 of donations on killing 700 babies in 2021.

I believe our culture’s obsession with the Spirit of the Age and an honest lack of education on the topic has also led to a rise in abortion.

Pop culture tells us abortion is cool. The media, social media, grade schools, universities, community organizers, and celebrities all celebrate and promote abortion. Shout Your Abortion has even morphed into a website complete with pro-abortion t-shirts and #shoutyourabortion is a trending hashtag. The website also sells a book filled with stories about women celebrating their abortion stories. One page even has the title, “Thank God for Abortion.”

I think my favorite demonic item is the t-shirt with a blue and pink pastel rainbow stating, “Abortion: isn’t just for the ladies.” Of course, because every man knows, if he gets

pregnant, he can have the innocent life sucked out of his womb, just like the ladies. Again, Baal is dancing with glee to this insanity.

I would also believe most women do not understand what happens during an abortion. They do not realize how painful and how traumatizing it is to their body. Infection and permanent loss of fertility are major risk factors. Just a quick read of the Google reviews from Jacksonville’s abortion factories shows a lot of women have no idea what they are about to do. I read terrifying accounts of women losing their ability to have more children, to some having their uterus’ punctured, to uncontrollable bleeding. Some even leave the clinic in an ambulance following their botched abortion. To make it worse, the clinic responds to these posts by ridiculing the women.

A little bit of good news. Jacksonville has heroes out on the front lines working to educate women on the trauma of abortion. Family for Life spends time at abortion clinics talking to women and men waiting in the parking lot. The goal is to provide hope and help to the women. They send time educating the women and praying with them and for them. Family for Life also offers a free ultrasound to the mother to show her the life inside of her isn’t just a “clump of cells.”

Some of the women do change their minds and decide to keep their baby. Family for Life has seen a steady increase in the number of people coming to local clinics from surrounding states. A lot of the woman are exhausted from driving long hours to get to Jacksonville.

The group has also discovered, out of all the abortionists in town, only one lives in Jacksonville. All the rest travel here to brutally end the lives of innocent children for cash. One of the doctors flies in from Denver to murder babies on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I encourage you to visit the group’s Web site to learn how you can help save lives.

The Supreme Court correctly decided on abortion. There never has been a constitutional right to kill the unborn. We must celebrate that victory.

Unfortunately, we now must deal with the consequence: Florida is now a defacto abortion sanctuary state. And until the state’s legislature bans baby death factories, there is nothing we can do about it, legally. All we can do is get involved, vote and hold our representatives accountable.
