It is time to stand up to the bullies

We have spent millions of dollars on programs to eliminate bullying in schools. Federal, state, and local governments are looking for ways to curb bullying that everyone knows can lead to teen suicide.

It all sounds wonderful and we believe these anti-bullying programs have been a big fail.

There is more hate and less tolerance in our world today. The term “bullying” is used against anyone expressing his or her opinion and the first amendment is no longer valid. If you believe in the 2nd Amendment, you are called names such as “terrorist” and “murderer.” If you believe in the sanctity of life – you are called bigots. If you don’t believe that men can have babies, you are trans phobic.

You are no longer allowed to express your beliefs or the anti-bully crowd will bully you into submission.

The adults in the room across America have failed our children.

Remember the good old days when a child on the playground was bullying another? The adult teachers would take control of the situation and would make sure the bully was disciplined and had to apologize to the victim. They nipped it in the bud and made sure their classrooms were void of bullying.

In today’s classrooms, the bully runs the room. Teachers can’t discipline. Other students can’t stand up for their beliefs. It’s all an upside down world and we wonder why there is so much hate in our children’s hearts. Why there are school shootings. Why there are so many teen suicides.

I have the answer. It’s the adults in charge who have created this culture of bullying. It’s the adults who refuse to stand and take control of their classrooms. It’s the adults who acquiesce to government mandates that go against their constitutional rights. It’s the adults who push other adults and children around because they believe they are smarter than the rest of society.

As much as we want to blame the children, the real blame lies in the laps of “the adults.”

I believe most of you reading this will agree with me. And we wonder what we can do to stop the insanity. Here’s the answer – Act like an adult and take control of your family, your children’s classrooms and your government entities! Stand up. Speak out. Show up. And even sue the bastards if necessary!

If you think I’m being too harsh, take a look at this sign recently posted in the subway in New York City. Some adult government employee had this sign made to “bully you into compliance.” These are probably the same government entities that support bullying programs in our schools.

I pray all New Yorkers who are tired of the bullying tactics of their government will say “Enough” and rip down those signs, show up at city council meetings, and other government entities and tell them “Stop the bullying!”

And I pray that mature adults all across America will say “Enough” too. It’s time, friends. It’s time.

Our children need us. Be an example. Stop being bullied by the government bullies! Show your children what a real anti-bullying program looks like – one where you stand up and say “No more!”

That’s my opinion. What’s yours?
