Eye predicted headline in TU today about JEA back in August 2019 thanks to JEA employees!

Corruption and deal making under the table?

Today’s headline in the Times Union states:

Curry’s former chief administrator, political strategist worked for JEA bidder, according to documents

In August 2019, Eye wrote about the men surrounding Mayor Curry in a post here:

Is Mayor Curry leading or others pulling his strings?

In that post we stated the following:

“The most recent breaking news is Sam Mousa has ALSO been approved by the Mayor to work with the Jaguars as a consultant. So Sam Mousa will get money from the city to help the Mayor, money from his city retirement and money from the Jaguars who negotiate with the city on contractual issues. Plus there are rumors Sam has a gig with Florida Power & Light who is interested in purchasing JEA. The optics on these stories are dangerous and highly disturbing and MUST be investigated by the State’s Attorney. MUST!”

We are pleased to see that investigators have finally found the truth amid the rumors that had been called in to Eye by JEA employees. Sometimes in the middle of the rumors are a piece of the truth. Good job JEA employees!

We are NOT pleased the rumors were true because we want to be right. The reason we are pleased is because the truth will set our city free from this pandemic in our government. A pandemic of corruption.

Eye will be posting another “rumor story” about those who actually helped pick the JEA board members. Will there be more truth in that rumor story too? You can decide.

No matter what happens. No matter who falls. Let truth prevail and all be held accountable for their greed.

A special note to our Mayor: Sir, if you had listened to our advice and the advice of so many wise people in this city, you would have rid yourself of these men. Maybe you should reconsider their allegiance to you and the city?
