You would think the world has gone into a new Depression and bread lines are every where. And could our Mayor be using this historical event to win votes for his upcoming re-election campaign.
Lenny Curry’s social services department is making half a million dollars worth of grants available to help federal employees that can’t pay their bills. GRANT MONEY. For those who don’t understand about Grants — that means FREE. Not to be repaid.
President Trump has already approved that all pay will be given back once the shutdown is over. That means GRANT MONEY handed out to local federal employees will not need to be paid back and they will get their back pay too.

I am reminded of the years when private sectors employees lost their jobs due to the Obama administration’s regulation strangulation and economic policies. Not once did we see this kind of support for the private sector – not once!

So Mayor Curry believes “sensible” is handing out free money to workers who have been without a pay check for 5 days and can get 0% interest loans until their paychecks start rolling again. WHAT????
Your nonsense is showing Lenny! This is a Political Stunt, plain and simple.
Federal workers are fine. They have something the private sector didn’t have. 0% interest loans – signatures needed only – and you, sir, are creating hysteria and handing out FREE MONEY.
