Breaking Development: Mayor Curry’s office silences dissent and shouldn’t they be suspended too?

Yesterday we wrote an article about cronyism and corruption in Lenny Curry’s Administration. See that article here: https://eyeonjacksonville.com/eye-requests-an-investigation-of-the-mayors-administration/

Tonight we were shocked by a tweet sent out by Melissa Ross regarding Joe Peppers who we wrote about in our article above. Melissa Ross is with WJCT. See Tweet here:

So Joe Peppers’ has been called on the carpet for calling out our Mayor and his staff for “questionable” dealings regarding giving special treatment to grant applicants. Do you realize Mr Peppers called them out in September 2018 and once the story broke a year later – yesterday — they put Mr. Peppers on leave?

What are they afraid of? Why are they concerned? Why would Brian Hughes, the unqualified City Administrator, send this letter to Whistleblower Mr. Joe Peppers less than 24 hours after Eye reached out to State Attorney Melissa Nelson about this corruption?

And here’s a question for Mayor Curry: “Why hasn’t Brian Hughes been put on leave while all these allegations are investigated? Why hasn’t Sam Mousa’s contract been temporarily suspended until these accusations can be reviewed?

Friends of Eye on Jacksonville if you want to help uncover the truth, contact Melissa Nelson at (904) 255-3098 and ask her to investigate the Mayor’s Administration regarding corruption. Send her the link here and the tweet above: https://eyeonjacksonville.com/eye-requests-an-investigation-of-the-mayors-administration/

We believe Ms. Nelson will do the right thing. Do you?
