Biden’s threat: carelessness or provocation?

While shocking, the assassination attempt on Donald Trump was not surprising.

Like a lot of people, I had suspected that if all their other attempts to destroy him failed, the enemies of America would try to kill him.

Attempts to defame him, bankrupt him, and imprison him have failed. What was left?

Who fired the shots at Trump in Pennsylvania is known, but not the why.

The deceased shooter was a 20-year-old man. He was a registered Republican but had donated to a Far Left cause, according to media accounts.

Perhaps he was caught up in the daily outpouring of hatred against the former president, amplified by the Far Left media.

“Put Trump in a bullseye,” might just have been hyperventilation on the part of an old man who often stumbles and mumbles.

But words matter. Biden’s handlers recognize that and immediately canceled millions of dollars worth of attack ads against Trump.

More will become known about the assassination attempt in the days and weeks to follow.

What is known and never will be forgotten is the iconic photo of a defiant Trump, bloodied with fist raised, in front of the American flag, while the crowd behind him shouted “USA!”

America needs a fearless brawler who has proven he will fight for the nation — not an addled and confused man who has only emboldened its enemies and worsened its problems.
