Here’s some good news for American families that many parents and grandparents may not know about!
Nearly 70 million Trump Accounts have already been created for American children under 18, according to the White House and Treasury Department. More than 60 million were established automatically.
But here’s the catch: Parents or guardians still need to claim and activate their child’s account.
These tax-advantaged investment accounts are designed to help children build wealth for their future.
And there’s an extra bonus!
Children who are U.S. citizens born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, with valid Social Security numbers, qualify for a one-time $1,000 contribution from the federal government. Parents must elect that contribution to receive it.
What should parents do?
- Visit TrumpAccounts.gov.
- Follow the instructions to claim and activate your child’s account.
- If your child qualifies for the $1,000 contribution, complete the required election.
Families can also contribute additional money to help these accounts grow over time.
Don’t leave an opportunity for your child’s financial future sitting unclaimed!
And grandparents, pass this along to your children. They may not even know these accounts exist.
