From SonnyB: This letter was written to the organization called Texas Values in San Antonio that was fighting a bill sent to their city council to vote on. That bill was to keep the Chick-fil-a from coming to the San Antonio airport. Well needless to say it went to the circuit court, where the judge ruled to not allow the Chick-fil-a establishment. I wrote a letter because this is what Christian and conservative businesses and people deal with all over this Nation. The letter went to the: Governor of Texas, Mayor of San Antonio,AG of Texas, San Antonio Express News, Texas Values, the biggest mouth on city council, and the Chick-fil-a Exec. Board in which I received a response of gratitude from Dan Cathy.
I am a resident of Florida. I am a concerned conservative Christian citizen of this great Nation. I am concerned because conservatives, Christians and Trump supporters are attacked, ridiculed and punished for our beliefs all over the country. This is the reason for my letter.
I am a proud black American father of six (6), and husband to my beautiful wife of 22 years. This makes the nuclear family (one man and one woman in marriage) vitally important to me. I would like to say from the offset, just because I disagree with LBGTQ community, doesn’t mean I hate gay and lesbians as a person. No, I do not hate, I only disagree with their lifestyle.
I read the article posted by the San Antonio Express News, Texas appeals court rejects ‘Save Chick-fil-a’ lawsuit, hands San Antonio a victory
When I read this article, I said to myself, how is this a victory? A company like Chick-fil-a that has the same belief as I do, concerning the nuclear family. If we go back to 2012, when the restaurant chain was attacked for standing up for traditional marriage, the majority of America stood with this corporation and so did I.
Chick-fil-a has a reputation for impeccable service and standards serving and hiring all people. This is why I believe the Chick-fil-a brand has been prosperous for so many years. Again, this company treats everyone with respect and dignity, unlike the lackluster service and quality of food from other fast food chains. That is why this is mind boggling to me, and it makes me mortified at the treatment of such an admirable company.
In this present world of censorship, shadow banning, and doxing, it has become blatantly obvious the people this is aimed towards. They are: Christians, conservatives, and Trump supporters, so please don’t insult my intelligence. I wasn’t born yesterday. We are the only group of people who are bullied, harassed, assaulted, and in some cases murdered. It is excused, tolerated, and treated as if nothing ever happened. I like the saying: “Liberals say they believe in tolerance until you have a different opinion than them.”
Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am infuriated, I am fed up and tired of Christians and conservatives being pushed around like second class citizens because of our beliefs. The article said a city council member did not want to support the restaurant chain on grounds of supporting organizations against LBGTQ. What do you mean, when you say against? My interpretation of against, sounds like you are accusing Chick-fil-a of hate. Chick-fil-a supported organizations in the past that did not agree with the gay and lesbian lifestyle, again that is not the same thing as hate. This indictment against their company is exactly why Chick-fil-a doesn’t donate to conservative organizations and that is violation of the first amendment of the constitution. It’s not a law or a crime against humanity because we have a difference of opinion. However, if we listen to the mainstream media, you would think we just committed the unpardonable sin.
It sounds to me the city of San Antonio is singling out a corporation for its Christian values. Is the city council tracking other businesses record of support to organizations they donate to? Case in point, are you going to ban businesses that supported Black Lives Matter? Because I can assure you the majority of America doesn’t support the racist, Marxist organization and I don’t either. This sounds like a discrimination case to me. The judges that ruled against Chick-fil-a, obviously went against the rule of law. Therefore, this case should be appealed, retried and reversed by the Texas Supreme Court. Also, Judges and city officials sworn to protect the constitution, should have to pay restitution when there is obvious negligence of the law. Money talks, I believe if governmental officials begin to pay for their bias acts, this would curtail many wrong doings.
No, Attorney Andy Segovia, religion is not a political agenda, being bias is, and can be unconstitutional and in this case it is. Tell me, how is this different from the Civil rights movement? Certain people, organizations and businesses are ostracized, alienated, banned and punished for having a different belief and opinion. It was because of race in the past, but now it’s a difference of ideology. I’ve had enough of the cancel culture. We have allowed this to go on, much too long.
We are long overdue for justice. Therefore, I am fighting back. There is an ole saying, “If you see a good fight, get in it.” Well, I’m getting in it! I am of the silent majority, but silent no more, I am a man on FIRE. WWG1WGA
NOTE: What happened in Texas could easily happen in Jacksonville. Our job is to keep an Eye on our local government and hold them accountable to doing the right thing for all…not just a certain few.
