Kids today are so indoctrinated that they can be “triggered” by almost anything.
Case in point: “You Matter Month.”
A few students at Sandalwood High School did not understand a new program the school system started, because they are ignorant.
Ignorant is not stupid. They probably have the capability to learn but have been so busy being indoctrinated with liberal ideas they have not been able to grasp critical thinking (which would dispel most of those ideas).
The school system was calling February “You Matter Month.” It was dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness.
At Sandalwood, a few students began a “protest” and it spread to a few other schools.
News4Jax said students claim the title of the program “takes away from Black History Month and, at the same time, high-jacks the ‘Black Lives Matter’ phrasing.”
One foolish principal got out and marched with the students instead of sending them back to class.
Then the school system caved to the silliness and changed its program.
Students in government schools are short-changed on American history, which they need to learn badly, because more and more of their time is spent on learning “black history,” whatever that is.
Such efforts serve to divide them by skin color, the exact opposite of what civil rights leaders of the 1960s tried to do.
They are being taught, implicitly or subliminally, that people with black skin are oppressed and that their fellow students with white skin are to blame.
This is bolstered by the media’s efforts to portray looting, burning and killing as “mostly peaceful demonstrations” and the idea that every perceived slight requires a protest.
The school administration issued a statement praising the unruly students for “effective civil discourse.” Earlier they had described the disturbance as “disruptive” and ordered weapons security checks.
They also have dropped “you matter.”
The craven response likely will encourage more students to begin more protests, and possibly violence, and education will give way to political actions by children who don’t have the slightest idea about what they are protesting.
