Jaguars unveil uniforms, dog park, and yep … a big request for more money from us over & above Shipyards

Eye on Jacksonville doesn’t want to come across as being “against” all development.  We are “All In” for development and moving a city forward.  We do not believe, however, our tax dollars should be handed out like candy to wealthy developers.  But if we do…

we believe the following should be considered:

  • Billionaires should pay for their own developments.  Millionaires might need our help.
  • Those asking for our money should be residents or invested in the community.
  • When they do ask for our money, then consider how the low income residents can benefit from it.  They pay taxes too.  Yet… game tickets and concert tickets are out of their reach because of the price.
  • Make sure the city is highly protected and doesn’t eat a stadium if the Jags get moved to London in the future.
  • And…we are still not over it.  The disrespect of the flag is still a sore spot.  Not sure how you are going to make up to us for that one.  The apology was lame.

So my friends, keep an EYE open for this one.

The Shipyards was already awarded to the Jags’ Owner.  Now this is over and above that.  Interesting and we are certain a lot of “finagling” will be going on.
