With the federal government careening out of control, it is important that Jacksonville have a strong law enforcement apparatus in place. That includes the offices of sheriff and state attorney.
Fortunately, the state of Florida has a strong government in place, with a Republican majority in the Florida Legislature and a no-nonsense governor.
Even with these protections in place, the coming midterm elections are critical. They could save America by replacing the current anti-American crowd in control with a pro-America majority.
The signs of danger are clear. During the entire term of President Trump the Democrat Party used the machinery of the Deep State to attack American institutions. At the behest of Hillary Clinton they created Collusion Delusion out of nothing and empowered Robert Mueller to spare no expense to “get Trump.”
At the end, Mueller failed to deliver the goods.
That wasn’t enough. Nancy Pelosi formed the Jan. 6 committee to stamp out political opposition by linking it with another imaginary incident – the so-called “insurrection.”
That wasn’t enough. Pelosi now has established satellite offices of the Capitol Hill Police Department in several states.
How and why are the Capitol Police needed outside of Washington, D.C.?
This is the agency that shot down an unarmed woman in the Capitol and then lauded the cowardly act as “courageous.”
Pelosi obviously is seeking a federal law enforcement presence in addition to the FBI to monitor and harass political enemies.
Couple this with the anti-police efforts of the Democrats and the installation of Democrat district attorneys in large, key cities whose mission is to protect criminals.
All of this isn’t enough, either, for the power-hungry mob.
Now the Deep State, through the Dept. of Homeland Security, has guidelines in effect that make targets of large segments of the American population, who stand accused of being “domestic violent extremists.”
America badly needs a Congress that can bring the rogue White House and Deep State under control. At the same time, it will need local authorities who will stand up to federal bullying.
When Jacksonville residents vote for a new sheriff next Spring, they should be asking themselves, will this person be more concerned with protecting me, or criminals?
Anyone exhibiting any of the fashionable “woke” tendencies, including the idea of citizen committees to police the police, will not pass that test.
