One local resident’s account of how a relative sought to get a prescription filled without success shows how licensed physicians in Florida can have their medical decisions thwarted.
In January, his aunt went to a pharmacy at a large supermarket to get her prescription for ivermectin filled. He says the pharmacist rudely refused to fill the prescription. When the nephew called, he said the pharmacist was rude to him also.
He wrote the pharmacy management to complain and got a response. The management said it is in the discretion of their pharmacists whether to fill a prescription or not.
The obvious solution is to go to another pharmacy to get it filled.
“Here is the problem with this notion,” he said. “If we give in, what’s stopping the next pharmacy from doing the same thing? As a result, we could eventually run out of pharmacies to obtain a lifesaving drug because of pharmacies with the same mindset to withhold a doctor prescribed proven drug that cures the Wuhan China virus or is it Covid-19, Delta-variant, omicron, omicron BA.2, Flurona or is it the Deltacron? Sometimes I believe they just close their eyes, open a medical dictionary and point to the next virus to cause never-ending fear, this has become a three-ring circus.“
“Furthermore, Joe Rogan, Aaron Rodgers, the NFL secretly, the politicians on Capitol Hill secretly, myself and countless others were treated and cured by using ivermectin. I don’t care how much Fauci the fraud, FDA, CDC, WHO, NIH or any corrupt three-letter agency tell you ivermectin isn’t proven to cure covid; It does.
“Frontline doctors and American citizens across the country are screaming from the mountain top that ivermectin is a cure for Covid, with decades of documented safe usage all over the world; Needless to say, it’s being blocked, vilified, demonized, canceled, censored, and ignored as a cure.”
A study of ivermectin as treatment for the Red Chinese virus was done in Bangladesh and no severe adverse drug events were recorded in the study. “A 5-day course of ivermectin was found to be safe and effective in treating adult patients with mild COVID-19. Larger trials will be needed to confirm these preliminary findings,” the study said.
The Food and Drug Administration’s web site says, “Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.”
But it also says:
“If your health care provider writes you an ivermectin prescription, fill it through a legitimate source such as a pharmacy, and take it exactly as prescribed.”
But you can’t do that if your prescription is not filled and it isn’t clear why pharmacists in Florida are allowed to overrule what a doctor and patient think is best for the patient’s help.
Funny we’ve never heard of a prescription for medical marijuana not being filled.
