How courteous is the Japanese;
He always says, “Excuse it, please.”
He climbs into his neighbor’s garden,
And smiles, and says, “I beg your pardon”;
He bows and grins a friendly grin,
And calls his hungry family in;
He grins, and bows a friendly bow;
“So sorry, this my garden now.”
This little ditty by the great poet and humorist Ogden Nash was written as World War II was approaching. It referred to Imperial Japan’s tactic of moving into another nation and then taking it over by force. But it is applicable and just as instructive if read today with “muslim” replacing “Japanese” – even if it doesn’t rhyme.
Islam was invented in the eighth century and almost immediately went to war with the rest of the world. It has been invading and conquering other countries since then.
The primary text of this religion specifically says that anyone of another religion must convert to Islam, become a slave or die.
The area that is now Spain became infested with muslims and it took nearly 800 years before they were driven out. They also started the Crusades by seizing Jerusalem.
Despite boasts from tinhorn dictators such as Saddam Hussein, however, Islamic fundamentalists have not been able to conquer America.
But it has found an insidious way to try, and it is being played out in other countries, such as Britain and France.
What they have discovered is that they can use Western civilization’s penchant for tolerance to facilitate conquest.
They enter, but unlike other immigrants, not to assimilate. Once in sufficient number, they form their own neighborhoods, implement their own cultures, and elect their own politicians to pass laws that grant them ever increasing power.
It is as if Adolf Hitler had sent German Nazis to America in the 1939s, to form enclaves (likely near defense plants and military bases) and expanded until after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
But Democrats at that time worried instead about Japanese Americans. President Franklin D. Roosevelt unlawfully put more than 100,000 Americans in concentration camps because they had Japanese ancestry and thus were suspected by Roosevelt of being potential enemies.
In Dearborn, Mich., there are an estimated 45,000 muslims out of 109,976 residents, or about 41% of the city’s population. Minnesota also has a large and growing population of muslims. Five muslims have been elected to Congress. New York City — the city attacked by muslims in 2001 – has elected a muslim mayor.
Crime, fraud and civil unrest are rampant in those areas.
The First Amendment to the Constitution prohibits the government from establishing a religion. It does not prohibit it from protecting Americans against an existential threat disguised as a religion.
