Care about our city? Join this group

OurJax is a newly formed group of concerned citizens who care deeply about the governance of our beloved City of Jacksonville. Sounds like our kind of people!!

Because of the recent JEA debacle and some other issues that have raised red flags about our city government, a small group of citizens decided to take this issue head on and bring back these four pillars of governance:

Transparency, Integrity, Accountability and Local Control

OurJax.com invites you to join their group. By joining you will be given ways on how you can make your voice heard to those who represent and work for all of us in Northeast Florida and require accountability for actions taken that are not in the best interest of all the residents of Jacksonville.  They know if their group grows, they will be a strong voice to ensure our city is strong and our government is transparent.

NOTE: A special WINK goes to some of the former JEA Board Members who are a part of this group. These “special” board members were the ones who helped write the governance policies for JEA years ago. Our founder of Eye on Jacksonville, Billie Tucker Volpe, was a part of that project and is thrilled to see those policies may just be brought back to life again at JEA. Had the board of today used them, we would not be in the mess we are in.

Good governance keeps good people good!
